DECOMMISSIONED

It is good to see "Rookie" aka Martin Kelly has grasped the basics of presenting Chess articles online.

Since Belfast South Chess Club is now successfully established, and has an online presence on the UCU site there is no further need for this blog to be operational.

Martin`s latest post with games is found on the UCU site at this link.
Kelly "Marshalls" his Attack as Black

So, I am now decommissioning this site. No further articles will be posted here BUT the site will be left in place as a historical archive.

All further articles will be posted on the North Belfast Chess Club website.

BALLYNAFEIGH 1 v BSI

The result of tonight`s match was a 3-2 victory for Ballynafeigh.
D Houston     R Devenney        1   0
S Scannell      S Flanagan           0   1
D Lavery       G McCormick     1   0
T Donaldson  B Maclean          1   0
M Chapman   J Bryars              0   1

The team captain had inadvertently informed me we were playing Ballynafeigh 2. So I was expecting to be playing Damien Cunningham not Stephen Scannell.

GOOD NEWS

Good news, the police have just returned ALL my computers a few minutes ago. Now I can access all my chess work again. Too bad they had not returned them in time for the Gibraltar tournament.

BACK HOME

Have safely returned home from Gibraltar and am happily re-united with my German boyfriend. He was so glad to see me he could not wait to get into my car.
His name is Mr Caleb Weimaraner.

I have no doubt the Deputy- Sheriff will be delighted I have returned home safely as well.

START OF GIBRALTAR MASTERS ROUND 4

This is the commencement of the fourth round at the Gibraltar Masters. You can notice that there are quite a few people milling around in the playing hall. It was quite difficult to get a good video clip without being too obtrusive to the players so I never took any more videos.

THE UNOBTRUSIVE OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER

This video shows the official tournament photographer going about her business. It is interesting to note how she can carry it out without being obtrusive toward the players, that is a useful talent to have.

FINAL ROUND OF THE AMATEUR AND CHALLENGERS WEEK 1

Here is a short video clip showing some scenes from the final round of the first week`s Amateur and Challengers Gibraltar tournament.
It also contains some very nice chess associates I have come to know over the past few years.

SHORT VIDEO OF GIBRALTAR ROUND 3

Here is a short video of the Amateur and Challengers round three just prior to the commencement.

Disaster, I have now lost 2 games in a row.  This is sufficient proof that I have now legal grounds for taking action against the N.Ireland Police service for the confiscation of ALL my computers and ALL my Chess work, ALL the Dbases and ALL my Chess studies.

The PSNI have caused me unnecessary trauma, emotional upset, loss of time and financial loss as well.  I am sure there will be a few other things I can think of to add to the list before I go home and see my solicitor about this grievous matter.

My Chess performance has rapidly deteriorated since my UNNECESSARY arrest on November 11th.

SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE LATEST BSI RESULT

There seems to have been ANOTHER controversy involving a Belfast South team. Looks like last night`s match is awaiting adjudication.
Belfast South 2 is also known as Kelly`s Heroes.

Meanwhile BSI 1 will play Lagan on Thursday night.

THE CRUNCH MATCH WHICH NEVER WAS

Here is a short video clip of the participants who took part in "the Crunch match which never was."

ADJUDICATION?

There seems to be a problem with the the result of the match between Lindores and BSI.  I thought everyone went home agreeing the match was drawn????

IDEAL VENUE FOR A NORTH BELFAST CHESS CLUB

I must conduct a feasibility study investigating the possibility of getting a North Belfast Chess Club of the ground.
Here is the perfect venue for it!

It will need lots of generous "Government funding" of course.

BRILLIANT VIDEO

Brilliant video about chess presentation and coaching. Well worth watching.

Solomon`s advice about teaching and presentation.

Ecc 12:9-14
9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

ROOKIE`S REPORT ON CORK TOURNAMENT

MONDAY NIGHT TOURNAMENT STARTS BACK

Told you yer wee woman could have made her video here for free.

Job 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

This is the real video.
